A tragic bicycle accident on Jacksonville’s Westside has claimed the life of a 58 year old man this morning. Bicycle and pedestrain accidents continue to escalate in the Jacksonville area. The victim David Talley was a 58 year-old father and grandfather. Talley was riding his bicycle on Jones Road near Commonwealth and Derby Acres Lane when he struck by a Ford F-150 from behind. This was apparently a daily routine for the victim riding his bicycle. The Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office is investigating speed of the truck which struck the bicyclist and the location of the bicycle when he was struck.
