SUCCESSFUL LAWSUIT FOR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION AND ECONOMIC LOSS CAUSED BY COVID-19.
On August 12, 2020, US District Judge Stephen R. Bough ruled that COVID-19 had deprived a restaurant group of its property by making it unsafe and unsuitable for customers and others to patronize the property. The claim for insurance coverage was therefore allowed to stand and the suit is moving forward.
